GK Joinery recently replaced my painted wooden French doors. It was an absolute pleasure working with them from start to finish. Their estimate was competitive and proved accurate. Environmental factors are very important to me, and I felt they were transparent about their efforts in this area, and went further than other similar companies in my local area. Their communication was clear, prompt and friendly. They gave me lots of flexibility on dates for measuring and fitting, and I was grateful for their patience and advice when I was deciding what colour and style I wanted. They were very reliable, they turned up when they said they would. The quality of the doors is excellent, they exactly match the agreed specification and look so much better than the old ones. The fitting team were lovely. They were polite, tidy and efficient, and kept damage to the external render and internal plasterwork to an absolute minimum, very easy for me to make good afterwards. I will be working with them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Huge thank you to the whole team.

Fantastic! I have beautiful little cotswold cottage which was in dire need of new windows and I chose GK joinery after looking at lots of companies. I had to wait a while for them to be installed but I took the view that if they're that good they have to be worth waiting for. I wasn't disappointed, the windows are super, you can see from across the street the new installations are a cut above the rest. I'm so pleased with them. They make a lovely cottage fab. The staff were super every step of the way, from Laura the secretary to the boss and the guys that fit them. They have my wholehearted endorsement.

We had a lovely stable door and 3 windows made and fitted last month by GK Joinery. The customer service was exemplary from start to finish and we couldn’t be more pleased with the end result.Being able to visit the workshop and view the products and discuss our options with the lovely Laura was a big plus.We appreciated the care that was taken by John at the site visit to advise and match to our existing windows. The installation was done with care and consideration. Our fitter Dave and his colleague Rich were professional and courteous and worked quietly and efficiently. They were able to work around our summer garden plants and I was delighted that the climbing rose around our kitchen window was unscathed thanks to the care they took. A large bush which I had expected to have to cut back under a second window was able to be preserved as they built a small platform over it to protect it.Any questions along the way were answered quickly either by email or telephone. Laura in accounts was efficient and responsive. I particularly appreciated the reassurance that any deposit paid is held in a separate dedicated account. We look forward to working with this fabulous company again, as and when our other windows need replacing. Highly recommended.

We have now used GK Joinery on several projects and cannot fault them. They did what they said they would do and at the time they said they would do it. They offer their services in a modest yet quietly confident, reassuring way and have a "can do" attitude which is refreshing because, while there is pretty much a solution for every problem, finding someone who will accept the challenge of awkward problems can be difficult. The workmanship is excellent and the windows and doors they made for us look superb because they are. This is a family owned and run business and their customers matter to them and this shows.Having dealt with John, the MD, for a while now it comes across that he is an honourable man and cares about his customers, his staff and the product and service he offers down to the drawings and specs agreed upon.Installation has been excellent, professional, neat and tidy. The company is experienced in working with listed buildings, their owners and Conservation Officers and the quality of workmanship, design and installation really compliments these historic buildings. We are currently working on an unusual project with them and we are enjoying the process for all the above reasons.Thank you John, Laura and the team.Thoroughly recommend this company to work with.Paul and Eve Knowles

High quality work in replacing a pair of French windows for our garden room. Excellent communication at each stage of the process made things very straightforward - we are really pleased with the outcome and would certainly recommend.

John and Rosemary run a tight joinery ship. Their communication was excellent through out. John visited my cottage Reno, he wanted to understand my project. Made beautiful tri-fold door, the quality is of a very high standard, the fit is superb. Highly recommended premium product.

GKJoinery made and painted two hardwood windows for me which were excellent. They provided an accurate estimate for the work and fitting and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job.Their window fitter (G &M Wakefield Ltd) was also excellent - both windows on the first and second floor fitted in one day!
